About this list

Each pack has only a few of these codes, and its label shows which. For antioxidants such as BHA (E320), the circular states the maximum “for oils or fats”^[2]. Caramel (E150d), a colour, carries its own footnote: “only for instant noodle products”^[3]. The seasoning sachet belongs to group 12.2, “herbs, spices, seasonings”, where the circular gives seasonings for instant noodles as its example^[4]. On the pack, read the group name plus number in the ingredient list.

The list comes from the “found in” section of each additive's page: the food groups of Circular 24/2019/TT-BYT, Appendix 2A (maximum levels of additives in food). Being listed means the additive is permitted there, not that every product contains it.
