Packaged food & drink in Vietnam
163 products in 24 groups — ingredients and nutrition as printed on the label
Most packs on Vietnamese shop shelves are labelled in Vietnamese only. This catalogue reads them for you: 163 packaged foods and drinks sold in Vietnam, in 24 groups — snacks, soft drinks and flavoured drinks, cakes and biscuits, sweets and candy, instant noodles and more. For each product we took the ingredient list and the nutrition table from its label (a photo of the pack, or the open database Open Food Facts) and rated it with the same formula the Yenzo app uses when you scan that pack.
A rating here is not a verdict on whether a food is good or bad for you. It shows where a product stands under one set of rules: how much salt, sugar and saturated fat it has, which additives are on the label and how heavily it is processed. So compare like with like — noodles with noodles, milk with milk. Product names are given as printed on the pack, in Vietnamese, with a short English description in brackets.

Where does the product data come from?
From each product's own label: the ingredient list and the nutrition table. 30 labels were photographed by Yenzo and its users and checked; 133 come from Open Food Facts, an open food database. The rating is worked out with the same formula as in the app.
Why are there no ratings in the lists?
Each product's rating is on its own page and in the app. To put several products side by side, the app is the easier tool.
I can't read Vietnamese. Can Yenzo still help?
Yes. Photograph the back of a pack with the app: it reads the Vietnamese ingredient list and nutrition table and can show you the result in English.
How do I add a product?
Scan it with the app. Once the label has been checked, the product appears in the catalogue.
