Additives permitted in coffee and tea drinks under Vietnam's Circular 24/2019
Coffee, tea and herbal drinks share one group in Annex 2A[2], so the list below of additives allowed under Circular 24/2019/TT-BYT[1] covers the whole group and does not describe any one tea pack or coffee can.

About this list
The group's full name is “coffee, coffee substitutes, tea, herbal infusions and other hot cereal drinks, excluding cocoa drinks”, so a tea pack or coffee can carries only a few codes. Many codes come with a footnote about the product form: sucroglycerides (E474) are “only used for liquid canned coffee”[3] and silicon dioxide (E551) “only for ready-mixed powder blends”[4]. So the same code can be listed for canned coffee yet not apply to a tea pack.
The list comes from the “found in” section of each additive's page: the food groups of Circular 24/2019/TT-BYT, Appendix 2A (maximum levels of additives in food). Being listed means the additive is permitted there, not that every product contains it.
